Backflip Dan

I was commissioned by the Atlanta-based animation studio Straight To Tell to develop the character designs for an animated short that would ultimately be pitched to Adult Swim (Cartoon Network). The project—a darkly humorous, short-form animated comedy—centers around the outrageous and infamous figure known as Backflip Dan. Blending absurdity with satire, the skit explores the chaotic legacy of its eccentric protagonist through sharp visual storytelling and irreverent humor. The animation was brought to life by the talented Stephen Bond, under the art direction of Mike Netland, with character designs conceived and illustrated by Brent Taliaferro.
